“Excellent fried chicken. Crispy, juicy, and everything you want in classic southern style fried chicken. The Spicy C.L.T. (Chicken, Lettuce, and Tomato) sandwich is a unique item, and is delicious. Not overly spicy at all. We have been there several times, service has always been prompt and orders have been accurate. Best chicken in the area at time of writing.”

“Goody's is a nice little place. Simple menu, but done well. Classic food at affordable prices. Burgers with lots of topping options. They make a good chili. It is mildly spicy and has just the right amount of meat and beans. If you call your order in, don't forget to ask what the soup of the day is, it changes frequently and never disappoints.”

“The Bagel Bar is a staple of Kutztown. Located just down the street from the university, it is always full of students getting a bagel and a cup of coffee. Although it is often busy, there is ample seating and prompt service. The bagels are fresh, light, and airy. This is a welcome change from the very dense bagels you tend to find elsewhere. Many flavors to choose from, and any bagel can be turned into a huge variety of special "Bagelwiches". A great place to start your day, or grab a light lunch. As the bagels are made fresh, they do run out of the more popular flavors as the day goes on, so if you are particular, get there early.”

“Muddy's is real BBQ. The owner knows his BBQ and doesn't cut any corners in his cook time. We discovered Muddy's way back when they operated out of a food truck. The quality of the BBQ coming out of this truck was amazing. Tender ribs, brisket that melts in your mouth, delicious slow smoked chicken, and much more. Muddy's now operates out of a restaurant in Oley. The food is as good as ever, and now we can sit down and eat indoors. In addition to the classic BBQ, they also offer some specialty sandwiches, the Pit Beef Cheesesteak is a standout. This is nothing like a Philly Cheesesteak, and you will certainly want to give it a try.”
